Analysis on Sasang Constitutional Medicine of the OB & GY outpatients in Dong-Eui University Korean Medical Hospital


Abstract
This study investigated 155 patients who had been taken Sasang Constitution Medicine in the Oriental Obstetrics and Gynecology at Dong Eui Medical Center from March.2 2000 to September .30 2000.
The results are as follows.
1. In the distribution according to age, the group of 28-34 was 53 patients(34.2%), the group of 21-27 was 31 patients(20.0%), the group of 35-41 was 31 patients(20.0%), the group of 42-48 was 19 patients(12.3%), the group of 13-20 was 16 patients (10.3%), and the group of 49-69 was 5 patients(3.2%).
2. In the frequency of symptom, it was 349 cases of 41 items, and the frequency of menalgia is most by 68 cases, and then the infrequent menstruation was 34 cases, the coldness of hand and foot was 21 cases.
3. In the distribution according to Sasang Constitution, Soyangin was 81 patients, and then Taeeumin was 53, Soeumin was 21. The rate of menalgia and infrequent menstruation was most in all of the Sasang Constitution, particularly the coldness of hand and foot was most in Soyangin, the general coldness and numbness was most in Taeeumin, the myoma and postpartum pain was most in Soeumin.
4. In the distribution of Chief complain according to Pyolee-Byeng of Sasang Constitution, Soyangin was much Pyo-byeng, Taeeumin and Soeumin was much Lee-byeng in the menalgia, infrequent menstruation, the coldness of hand and foot, the coldness of abdomen and the general coldness.
